Smile First Pediatric Dental

Absolutely fantastic staff. Thoroughly explained everything to me and my son. Won him over immediately by making him feel at ease. Loved Dr. Haley and Jessica so much he wants to come back. Switching him over now!

My child’s surgery appointment at Smile First Dental was a great experience. The team was caring and made my child feel comfortable throughout. They communicated clearly and patiently, answering all our questions. The procedure was smooth, and the post-surgery instructions were very helpful. Overall, Smile First Dental provided compassionate and professional care that made a stressful situation much easier for us. I highly recommend them for family dental care.

We took my 2 and 5 year old for a teeth cleaning and it went really well. It was my 2 year old’s first time going to the dentist and she is often nervous about new experiences. Our dental hygienist did an excellent job of showing her everything and making her feel comfortable. It went so well that my 2 year old now thinks the dentist office is a fun place to visit. Also there are many TVs to help distract children and keep them busy while they wait.

First, I do want to say that the practice is beautiful and all the hygienists/techs were incredibly friendly and professional. We had a fantastic visit in that respect. However, Dr. Jenny Citineni said that my 4 year old daughter should be put under general anesthesia for 8 crowns on her molars. She said, essentially, that I had neglected my daughter's molars and that we needed to improve diet and hygiene (without asking about what our diet or hygiene were). No mention of the genetic component of cavities, just a "good luck next time at least you get a second chance!" I was mortified and immediately scheduled the appointment until a friend urged me to get a 2nd opinion. The second dentist said my daughter needed ONE crown, along with some fillings. I think because Smile First takes Medicaid and so many other dentists in the area don't, families aren't able to get second opinions. However, if SmileFirst recommends extensive work for your child, I strongly urge trying to get a second opinion first.

My experience was amazing from the beginning. All the staff & medical team were phenomenal they were so friendly and helpful. Jocelyn was so sweet she answered any questions that I had before and after my daughter treatment. She would respond quickly to my message anytime I needed her. I was a little nervous about the procedure but the doctors made sure they explained everything to me and let me go back until my daughter was sleep. I really thank them and appreciate them I will highly recommend.
