Smile First Pediatric Dental

Today, July 8, 2026, I brought my almost 7-year-old son in for a filling, and I am so grateful for the care he received from Dr. Haley and her assistant, Michelle. As any parent knows, dental work can be intimidating for a child, but they made the entire experience so much easier for both of us. They took the time to talk him through every step, keeping him calm, reassured, and comfortable throughout the procedure. Their patience, kindness, and ability to connect with him were truly remarkable. What stood out most was how attentive and compassionate they were. They understood the urgency of the situation, worked efficiently, and never made us feel rushed. Instead, they made sure my son felt safe and cared for every step of the way. It is clear that they genuinely care about their patients and go above and beyond to create a positive experience. Thank you, Dr. Haley and Michelle, for taking such wonderful care of my son. We left feeling relieved, grateful, and incredibly thankful to have such an amazing dental team.

We take our autistic son here, and every visit has been a wonderful experience. The entire staff is incredibly kind, patient, and understanding with him, which means so much to our family. They always take the time to make him feel comfortable, and we truly appreciate the compassion and care they show. We highly recommend this dental office!

Smile First Dental has been our go to dental clinic since my son’s first visit when he was a year old. Now, he’s 6.5 years old, and we’re still incredibly satisfied with their services. The staff at Smile First Dental is always friendly and welcoming. They have a special way of understanding young children and their emotions. They make sure to talk to each child individually and explain the procedures in a way that they can understand. They even go the extra mile to make the experience as comfortable as possible. For instance, when my son was having X-rays, he was very afraid because he said the thing he had to bite down on hurt. But the dental technicians talked to him patiently, explained how the X-rays worked, and were able to get clear and accurate images. We recommend smile first dental Always a 10/10 experience!

First, I do want to say that the practice is beautiful and all the hygienists/techs were incredibly friendly and professional. We had a fantastic visit in that respect. However, Dr. Jenny Citineni said that my 4 year old daughter should be put under general anesthesia for 8 crowns on her molars. She said, essentially, that I had neglected my daughter's molars and that we needed to improve diet and hygiene (without asking about what our diet or hygiene were). No mention of the genetic component of cavities, just a "good luck next time at least you get a second chance!" I was mortified and immediately scheduled the appointment until a friend urged me to get a 2nd opinion. The second dentist said my daughter needed ONE crown, along with some fillings. I think because Smile First takes Medicaid and so many other dentists in the area don't, families aren't able to get second opinions. However, if SmileFirst recommends extensive work for your child, I strongly urge trying to get a second opinion first.

My 4‑year‑old went in today to get a crown, and the dentist and technician were absolutely amazing with him. The technician took the time to show him all the equipment they were going to use and even demonstrated how everything worked. They communicated with us through the entire process and made both him and me feel completely comfortable. We always have an amazing experience here, and today was no exception.
