I highly recommend South Reno Dental. They got me in quick, treated me respectfully, and explained everything well. They give you estimates so there is no surprises in cost. I have had a lot of work done, and each time I have had no pain with recovery. Dr VanderWel does a great job. I went in for an extraction, and he was upfront and honest that he was not comfortable doing it. He referred me to one of his colleagues. That kind of courtesy will keep me coming back in the future. Dr Vanderwel and his staff are the best! After going to a butcher, for dental work, South Reno Dental took me in and went above and beyond to make my dental work comfortable. Was so impressed with the staff who helped me with completing the task needed for my dental work. To the dentist Cole Vander Well who was so accommodating ,friendly and helpful I would highly recommend his service together with the staff. . I'm one of those that dread going to the dentist. Dr VanderWel and his team were wonderful! They were understanding and took the time to make sure I was comfortable. I finally found my dentist and would highly recommend South Reno Dental.

South Reno Dental is great! I had my first 'new patient' appointment today: full mouth x-rays, full mouth scan and exam. Like many people, I had to find a new dentist due to Prominence's last minute switch from FCL to Liberty Dental in January 2026. Turned out to be a blessing in disguise. Staff was friendly and Dr. Cole VanderWel was very professional, personable and comfortable to work with. I saw my FORMER dentist Nov. 2025 for a cleaning, exam and subsequent cavity filling. Today's scan showed I have 3 cavities: 1 large one that should have been repaired a long time ago, a second not quite as big but should have been evident for months and, as for the 3rd - the former dentist who 'filled' the cavity in November didn't fill the entire cavity area he had drilled out so I have to have that one refilled correctly. (No wonder it's been so tender). If you still need to change dentists I highly recommend South Reno Dental.
