Des Moines River Dental Care: Dr. Tyler Villiard, Dr. Emma Villiard

I went here a week to the day of my review and had a great experience. Had an infected tooth that was causing me an extreme amount of pain and needed to come out. Dr. Tyler got me some antibiotics, and tooth out on the 14th! After a week I have had little to no pain at the extraction site, was able to get right back to work, and the surgical removal of the tooth went very smoothly and didn’t feel a thing. Thank you Dr. Tyler, and thank you Des Moines River Dental Care!

Taylor did an amazing job with my dental cleaning today. She was very professional, gentle, and made the whole experience comfortable from start to finish. She explained everything clearly and made sure I was doing okay throughout the appointment. You can tell she really cares about her patients and takes pride in her work. My teeth feel great and the whole visit was smooth and stress-free. Highly recommend Taylor if you’re looking for someone who does a thorough and friendly job!

The interactions with the actual dentist are always pleasant but unfortunately can't say the same for the hygienist. Lowering the chair without notice, hovering tools over your face without asking you to open your mouth, not explaining what they are doing or why... Dead silence. Honestly felt like she was annoyed with me or something which is pretty bizarre because she'd hardly spoken to me. Literally no "chair-side manner". I do like the convenience of the location but I am considering going to a different practice.

Everyone is very friendly. The dental hygienist was very thorough with the exam and explanations. Dr. Villiard, always pleasant and thorough, came in immediately for the exam. My husband and I have been going here for years and have no intention of going elsewhere.

We have been looking for a dentist that takes Humana insurance, before that we had UHC. Finally towards the end of 2025 we found one. They are a husband and wife team. They really show that they care for there patients. I need to have the rest of my teeth pulled and dentures made for both my lower and upper month. They answered all my questions and explained everything. This is our third visit and we are extremely happy with the carethey have provided. I will keep track of my plan as it continues. If anything changes I will update as my visits and review if necessary. So if you Don't see any additional comments you will know they are just as good as I reviewed here. If your looking for a dentist I highly Recommend Des Moines river dental care!
