Rockford Dental Care

After searching for a new dentist for a while I’ve finally found a place that has met my expectations. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. My first cleaning here was one of the best cleanings I’ve ever experienced. The staff is very thorough and they explain everything they’re doing. Dr.Gomez herself is one of the best dentists I’ve had. You can tell she genuinely cares about her patients and wants to provide the best treatment possible. I’m very pleased with my recent visits :)

The staff at Rockford Dental was excellent! Everyone was kind and patient. I have a lot of anxiety when it comes to dental visits but I felt comfortable the whole time. I had my 4 children with me and never felt like I was inconveniencing anyone. My dental hygienist, Nita, was sweet, knowledgeable, and gentle. Dr. Shawn was thorough and informative. Martha helped me with billing and setting up appointments for my kids. I never felt rushed with her and she was so nice to my children. Martha was patient and understanding. I will be going back and already have appts for my kids.

today, I got all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed. it was my first ever surgery, so I was very nervous. but Rudy and Rafael did an amazing job at making me feel more comfortable, they walked me through everything that would happen and treated me with care. they were concerned about me feeling uncomfortable with the noise next door, but I didnt mind. but the fact that they expressed such concern shows that they truly do care. they gave me plenty of reassurance and I wasn't nearly as scared as I thought I would be because of it. my surgeon was Dr. Appia, and he did an excellent job too at making me feel comfortable. he was very friendly and when I came out the surgery, I felt absolutely fine like nothing happened. even while writing this it is 7 pm, I got my surgery at 10 am and my pain is VERY minimal (on a pain scale, id give a 2/10, and even that feels like overestimating!) I cannot thank them all enough for the wonderful job that they did for being so professional, friendly, and efficient. thanks to them I had a well done surgery and what seems to be a smooth recovery so far. thank you guys so much!

Would highly suggest seeking care elsewhere given the lack of communication, respect, and general aesthetics found in this office. Having made an appointment for a cleaning on the phone, I went in to find I was really only there for an initial consult. That wasn't ever explained, but ok, I took the X-rays & had a very brief exam to then be scheduled a month later for a cleaning and an application for cavity prevention during that time, booked back to back. Fast forward to that appointment and I must say of anyone, the hygienist I saw was nice and did a good job with the cleaning. She was done in quick fashion and said she'd get the doctor for the application portion. Here is where things fall apart. I'm told she's not ready yet and that I'll have to go to the waiting room. That wasn't a problem really, I understood the hygienist was quick so started waiting. 25 minutes later, 10 minutes after my "back to back" appointment start time, I was called back. This person simply called my name, never said a single word, not even an introduction, as we walked back, sat down, etc. until finally I got a "today we're doing this", placed on the bib and glasses and said "I'll be right back". I waited another 15 minutes with no updates, whatsoever. At this point I am now 45 minutes beyond my "back to back" appointment I was told I had, with not a single update nor explanation from anyone, whatsoever. At this time I decided to leave, and as I left the room I let the person at the checkout counter know I was leaving because I couldn't continue waiting. I said this appointment can be cancelled and please have someone contact me to discuss/reschedule. To date, no one has ever reached out to me regarding what occurred that day despite asking. I truthfully wasn't asking for much. A small bit of communication and respect for my time would have been an easy win for everyone. Lastly, I'm not certain if they're in the middle of construction, gave up part way, etc. because the office/exam rooms appear half done with something. Though, not sure what because it still screams "we're not reinvesting into our office" the moment you walk in or go into the exam rooms. If there are signs indicating work or 'Pardon our mess", I missed them. Edit: I did receive a call from the office manager to discuss the situation after the review. While I may not be returning, I've added a star and wanted to say thanks and show appreciation for the efforts to understand and resolve as best as possible.

Today, I had an appointment, it was scheduled 6 months ago. Went in and nobody's there, didn't get any kind of notice that they wouldn't be there. But they called me a couple days ago to schedule 1000s of dollars of crowns I don't need. Not even acknowledging I have an ongoing treatment plan for an implant which I had to go back and forth with the scheduler about. Dr. Gomez was great, everything else about this office is unprofessional, disorganized, and disrespectful. I'm good
