I came in to get a filling done around 2020, and the doctor went so deep to complete the filling that I may need to have a root canal. Attitudes were flying high as if I was the issue being there. Never going here again

I currently have husky insurance while waiting for My husband‘s insurance to kick in so I had to get a tooth looked at that was broken and found this dentist and was fooled by the good reviews and made an appointment. When I walked in for my appointment, it looks like a prison and at the window was the dentist in normal clothes and when I questioned if he was the dentist, he said yes and I was like oh I believe you took my call Too and he said yes he then got up and went and put on his coat and sat back at the Desk and gave me my paperwork to fill out. Once I was back in the room, he did do x-rays and told me that there was no way my tooth could be saved and wanted me to come back at a different time to have it removed. I was very skeptical because there was nobody in the office it was very quiet. There wasn’t even any other workers. I believe his children were in the back room playing around and then all of a sudden, I think his wife or somebody came up and went to the checkout/check-in window and sat there. I told him I didn’t feel comfortable because I’ve never been in an office where there was no workers before and he was a receptionist and Dentist. I asked him if he feels confident enough to remove the tooth without damaging the healthy teeth aside and he said that you would have me sign a consent that it was possible that it could happen. I didn’t feel comfortable and I told him I just wanted my x-rays and I was leaving when I went to go walk out and asked that lady that came from the back room with the kids in it for my x-rays. She was very snarky and told me to go sit down. My initial thought was I wonder how they stay afloat because they had zero patients. Honestly, I thought my children were going to be human trafficked that were waiting with me.

I came to Dr. Desai for a problematic wisdom tooth that was causing me pain. I am afraid of the dentist and experience alot of anxiety when it comes to visiting a dental clinic. The office is quite small, but I really like that about the place. It's very quiet and calming in there, and there was even a little tv in the exam room (which was a welcome disraction).The woman at the front desk was very kind, and so was Dr. Desai. He was able to schedule me an appointment for the next day after hearing I was in pain when I originally called, and took out the problem tooth during our appointment. He explained everything throught the procedure, and checked on me frequently throughout make sure I wasn't in pain. I plan on going back for more routine dental care in the future. I would absolutely recommend him for anyone needing a kind and knowledgeable dentist.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Dr. Desai and Healthy Smiles is simply out for your money. I am new to the area so had to find a new dentist. DO NOT LET THE POSITIVE REVIEWS FOOL YOU, like I did. I went in for a cleaning and Dr. Desai proceeded to tell me that I have multiple cavities and needed 7 fillings on each side of my mouth (14 total). As someone who has never had a cavity or filling before, this was very alarming. He also looked at my X-rays and tried to tell me that I have had a filling before. To this I responded, no I have never had a filling before. And he responded, yes you have. I should have walked out then and there, but I proceeded with the cleaning. After that I was very scared, thinking somehow I have a ton of cavities for the first time in my life. Trusting my gut, I decided to get a second opinion at a different dentist. The dentist there assured me that I have ZERO cavities, and ZERO signs of any cavities forming! Imagine if I would have trusted Dr. Desai, I would have 14 fillings in my teeth for no reason! DO NOT TRUST THIS OFFICE, THEY JUST WANT YOUR MONEY!
