Quail Lakes Dental Care

This place feels like a classic bait and switch scheme. I called to verify if they accepted my Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance. The staff member assured me they did and requested my insurance details. After I provided them, I scheduled an appointment and confirmed they were an in-network dentist. She mentioned that if there were any problems with my insurance, I would get a call the following day. I never got that call, and when I tried to follow up, no one picked up, but I did receive an automated text reply. On the day of my appointment, I inquired again about my insurance acceptance and in-network status, and she reiterated that they were indeed in-network. After being taken to the back, I had x-rays taken and spoke with the doctor, who felt more like a used car salesman trying to upsell me. Then, a front desk employee came back with a paper indicating I owed $150 for the cleaning. This was a total bait and switch; they maxed out my insurance and then asked for additional payment. Blue Cross Blue Shield in-network dentists provide cleanings and x-rays at no cost. They clearly intended to upsell me from the moment I walked in. This place is terrible. Additionally, it is not very clean; the floors are stained, and the counters appear dirty. Ultimately, I had to walk out, and they billed my insurance for essentially nothing. They also refused to give me a copy or email of my x-rays unless I paid them $20. Avoid this place; it’s disrespectful and dreadful.

I called this office asking about getting a cleaning without the full exam and x-rays. They are unable to do so and unable to fully articulate why. I spoke with the manager and all she would tell me on why, was that the dental association does not allow it. Despite multiple attempts on my end to understand what the reason for the dental association to not allow it would be, the manager was only able/willing to repeat that the dental association does not allow it and that's just how it is. I find it difficult to trust that this office is a reliable place to get care when they are following rules that they do not understand well enough to explain.

From the moment you enter the building, you are immediately greeted by Miss Evelyn. All the staff, there are very attentive and very professional and friendly. I personally hate going to the dentist, but for whatever reason, I feel welcome there. If you’re looking for a good dentist, I recommend this place. They actually care..

They are very pushy with Invisalign even if you’ve already had braces and it’s not necessary. However, on my last visit for my regular cleaning I had a female dentist who did not do a proper cleaning. I’ve never had such a subpar dental service ever. I was also overcharged on a previous visit where they made me pay a higher than necessary copay than what was agreed in with my insurance.

They are very welcoming, I went in to get some tooth work done as well as getting my Invisalign done.
