Lee and Lee Orthodontics

It brings me no pleasure to post this, but I have to express my frustration with this office, and I’ll try to keep my backstory brief. Almost 20 years ago, I had Invisalign used as braces, and instead of opting for the removable Invisalign night retainer, I chose the permanent retainer adhered to my teeth. They both have their pros and cons, but the permanent retainer worked well enough for me. However, last year the metal bar at the top of my mouth started to fray. I asked my dentist if they had any recommendations for repair, and they referred me to Lee & Lee. * September 2025 - I go in; they offer to either do another permanent retainer or switch and go the Invisalign route. I stick with the current setup, and since insurance doesn’t cover it, I pay about $500 out of pocket. It feels a bit steep, but doesn’t everything these days? All good. * May 2026 - While flossing one evening, the retainer that adhered to my tooth came undone. This was surprising since I got this fixed so recently. I scheduled an appointment, popped in, and they glued the retainer to the tooth. A relatively quick process, and $150 later, hopefully I’m set for a while. * July 2026 - Less than two months later, the glue pops off the SAME tooth while flossing. Due to my schedule, I wasn’t able to make an appointment until August. When I made the appointment, I told the receptionist that I had been there very recently, and she said she would speak to the dentist about a possible reduced rate. When I arrived, I was seated promptly for my appointment but laid horizontal in the chair, waiting for the dentist, for 27 minutes. I spent the time reading, so I wasn’t too put off. The dentist came in, re-glued the retainer in the same place, and then I was on my way. The fix took less than 10 minutes. When checking out with the receptionist, I again mentioned the possible reduced rate that had been discussed, since I had been there less than 2 months prior for the same issue. She stepped aside and checked with the dentist, who told her there would be no price change because the issue is with the way my teeth bite down… No discount - another $150. Unacceptable. It’s one thing to be busy and backed up (everyone has off days, I get it). It’s another thing to refuse even a minor discount, even as a gesture of good faith for having to return so recently; quite annoying, but fine. But gaslighting me by saying the issue is from the way my teeth bite down? I had my retainer for **19** years without any issues, but I have to come back to you twice in less than a year for the same issue, and you say the problem is on me? No thanks. Everyone was quite friendly during my visits, so customer service wasn’t an issue. But I will never return because of this, and I will try my luck with someone else.

Great experience getting orthodontic work done again but this time as an adult. Dr. Lee and his entire team are friendly and easy to communicate with.

I am an adult who needed some work to straighten my teeth. I chose Dr. Lee because I received so many positive recommendations. I have been absolutely delighted by the results of my orthodontic treatment. Everything went exactly as Dr Lee explained the procedure a year ago. I also have to say a giant thank you to all the assistants and the entire office staff. They are kind, efficient and always take care of you with a smile. This speaks volumes for setting a great environment from the top. If you are thinking of Orthodontics look no further than Lee and Lee

The doctors were amazing right from day one. Explained the whole condition and treatment plan in detail, listened to our concerns and patiently answered them and the treatment went very smoothly without any complications at all. The entire staff is also very helpful and understanding. We were happy to have had our treatment done with Dr. Lee and Dr. Sammy.

I'm nearing the end of my Invisalign treatment with Dr. Lee, and unfortunately, I've been deeply disappointed with both the process and the results--especially given his "Diamond" provider status and premium pricing. While Dr. Lee is a pleasant and seemingly well-intentioned person, my experience has raised serious concerns about his attention to detail and overall competence. Early on, I had to proactively follow up for basic information (for instance, I was never informed about the use of chewies). Within the first week, I noticed that a tooth wasn't tracking properly. I raised the issue, but it was dismissed. Months later, it was finally acknowledged and corrected with an attachment--something that could have been addressed much earlier. I'm now 11 months into a relatively straightforward case that should have taken 6 to 9 months. Despite reluctantly agreeing to IPR to prevent a black triangle, I now have one anyway. Dr. Lee's only solution? Shave down more of my teeth. The most troubling moment came today, when he removed my attachments and--without informing or getting consent from me--shaved several teeth that never even had attachments. One of those teeth now has a rough surface and feels noticeably different. When I raised the issue, he claimed the tooth was always like that--something I know isn't true. If you're considering Invisalign with Dr. Lee, I urge you to explore other options--especially if you're paying a premium. I truly regret choosing this practice and would be happy to share alternative provider recommendations with anyone who's interested. Nice guy, but unfortunately, that doesn't make up for a lack of precision and care.
