I cannot say more for the splendid performance of the entire staff of CitiDent, AND the incomparable expertise of the dental miracle-maker, DR. Amini whose treatments both dental and cosmetic are the very BEST in the business, second to none! From the very moment you arrive for an appointment the staff, a delightful front desk trio of smiling, warm, charming young ladies, greets you not like a patient but as a good friend, immediately putting you at ease even if you are scheduled for a particularly complicated procedure. How many folks can say, as I always say after an appointment, "Wow! That was a rather a comfortable experience! These people are tops!" Yes, first-class in every respect including cosmetic procedures! With the astonishing wizardry of the redoubtable Dr.Amini, an enhancement of your smile is every bit as wonderful dentally as it 'tis psychologically, in fact, to the point, in my case, of being life-changing! After my recent appointment, after seeing my coruscating, dazzling smile, and being cheered by the staff, I strode out to Battery Street on a cloud of recharged self-esteem, confidence and joy! A new person eager to smile at everyone, and yes, most of all when I catch my reflection, at MYSELF!! Thank you, Dr. Amini and your stellar CitiDent staff!

I can’t say how glad I am to have found Dr. Amini and the team at CitiDent. After having not-so-great experiences at other dental practices in the city, I decided to try CitiDent based on their reviews. I have had 9 fillings replaced and a crown done at CitiDent and I wouldn’t have wanted to do it anywhere but here. The staff is extremely friendly and professional. You can tell they also work well together and treat one another with respect. Dr. Amini himself is so knowledgeable, extremely efficient, and kind. It’s easy to see that he really cares about his craft, his patients, and his staff. The office itself is lovely: clean and modern. I’ll be a patient for as long as I am in SF and absolutely recommend this practice to anyone looking for dental care. Thank you Dr. Amini and team!

Citident has been consistently great. The front desk is friendly, easy to work with, and genuinely eager to help. The hygienists are professional and kind. They also bill insurance directly, which makes the payment and insurance process seamless. I saw Dr. Ngo a couple years ago, was referred out for a more complex case, and I’m choosing to come back to Dr. Ngo and the Citident team because of the excellent experience and service.

I called to schedule a routine cleaning and the experience immediately raised red flags. Before even seeing me, they started explaining multiple scenarios where they might not be able to do the cleaning during the first visit, saying it might require a “deep cleaning” that may not be covered by insurance. All I wanted was to schedule a standard dental cleaning. A good dental office simply schedules the appointment, evaluates the patient, and performs the cleaning if appropriate. Instead, the conversation felt like it was setting up reasons to upsell additional procedures before I had even walked through the door. It left a very uncomfortable impression. If you're just looking for a straightforward, honest dental cleaning appointment, this was not the experience I expected.

Dr. Amini and his team — from billing and reception to the hygienists — are absolutely the best. Everyone performs their work with such professionalism, care, and genuine kindness. Like many people, I’ve always had some anxiety about visiting the dentist, mostly out of fear that it might hurt. But after several specialized procedures, I can confidently say I’ve experienced no pain at all — during or after treatment. Dr. Amini truly takes care of his patients and ensures the entire process is comfortable, calm, and stress-free. He takes the time to explain each step, checks in often to make sure you’re doing okay, and never rushes through care. His gentle approach and attention to detail make all the difference. It’s rare to find a dental office where you feel both completely cared for and genuinely valued, but that’s exactly what you get here. I can’t recommend Dr. Amini and his team highly enough — they’ve completely changed the way I feel about going to the dentist.
