Team Orthodontics - Phoenix

After approximately 15 months of treatment, I finally feel it’s appropriate to review my experience with Team Orthodontics. I was encouraged to leave a review earlier, but I wanted to wait until I had actually experienced enough of the treatment and results to give a meaningful assessment. There are many positives. The office is modern, comfortable, and has great amenities. The front-desk staff has consistently been friendly and welcoming, and overall the customer-service experience is excellent. My concerns are with the continuity, customization, and functional planning of the orthodontic treatment itself. Many different assistants and team members have participated throughout my treatment, and at times it has been difficult to understand who was consistently following the case and how each refinement connected to one cohesive final treatment objective. At times, the process has felt more trial-and-error or standardized than individually planned. My biggest concerns are functional. During treatment I developed TMJ symptoms that I did not have before and am still experiencing, along with significant anterior contact and concerns about achieving stable posterior contacts. I also want a more upright anterior tooth position rather than simply straight teeth that remain flared forward. What concerned me most was that we were already discussing retention while I still felt these core issues were unresolved. When I questioned the result, I was reminded that they could show me pictures of “how I came in.” I absolutely recognize the improvement from my starting point, but improvement from baseline is not necessarily the same as reaching the treatment objectives. “Biological limitations” were also mentioned. I completely understand that biological safety must come first, but I believe patients should also receive a clear explanation of what those limitations are, how they were determined, and what reasonable corrective alternatives have been explored before treatment is considered complete. With today’s digital treatment planning and AI-assisted technology, outcomes obviously cannot be guaranteed, but a good diagnosis and cohesive plan should still provide a clear direction and endpoint. Patients should feel comfortable asking questions and advocating for their functional and aesthetic goals. To Dr. Danyluk’s credit, after I pushed my concerns more firmly, he personally revisited my case, created another digital workup, sent me a detailed video explaining his thought process, shared the simulation, and invited my feedback. I genuinely appreciate his willingness to reassess the case rather than simply move forward into retention. After reviewing the newest workup, I still have questions about the anterior contact, posterior occlusion, and anterior inclination, and I believe a multidisciplinary approach with restorative/general dentistry may ultimately be helpful. Treatment is still ongoing, so I plan to update this review. I hope my experience encourages other patients to stay involved, ask questions, and advocate respectfully for a result that is not only aesthetically improved, but functionally stable.

My exceptional experience started the day before my consult when Dr. D Personalky called me to welcome me and answer any questions I might have! Upon entering the office, everything was clean, hygienic, FUN, and three staff treated me like royalty! Dr D spent a lot of time with me discussing what he saw from my xrays and photos and laid out an incredible treatment plan - taking my complex case that other specialists couldn''t handle, and with ease, finding a solution! He even spent an hour of his personal time on the phone with a family member who is a dentist in another state. His care for his patients and his staff is so evident and I would not recommend any other team than TEAM Orthodontics for your dental needs!

I’ve used team orthodontics for myself and have been very pleased with the results so far. Dr D. And his staff are amazing! I just took my daughter today for a consult and she loved it and is very excited to get started with her braces. Everyone is great throughout the practice and you can tell everyone is enjoying doing their job. Highly recommend!
