I appreciate the transparency and explanation:) [Jan 2026] This is the fifth time I’ve come here for an appointment, and when I checked in, they told me I wasn’t on the schedule. The frustrating part is that I received reminder emails and text messages confirming the appointment, and the date/time were correct. Yet the front desk still said I wasn’t booked. They couldn’t do anything except reschedule, and the staff expressed her apology and said “that happens.” Honestly, this should not be happening. It’s extremely disrespectful of patients’ time, especially when we plan our day around an appointment. Last time I came here, I arrived on time but still waited about 30 minutes. I understand delays can happen since treatment time isn’t always predictable. But a scheduling error like this should never happen. [Dec 2025] This was my third time coming here. Thuy is very friendly and patient in answering my questions—wonderful staff overall! Iris is very professional in assisting Dr. Alina and was thoughtful in taking care of my lips with Vaseline. Dr. Alina did an great job filling my cavity and showed great kindness when I had questions about my fillings and tooth irritation. I would definitely come again!

I’ve been working with Dr. Christina for a few months, and I’ve always appreciated how thoughtful and patient she is. During the time we work together, she consistently took the time to explain things carefully and helped me understand what was happening step by step. Even during moments when I felt anxious or unsure, she remained calm, kind, and professional. I always felt that she genuinely cared about my well-being and wanted the best for me. I’m grateful for the time and energy she invested in my case. She is a compassionate doctor who truly puts her patients first. I highly recommend Dr Christina to any other patients.

Just got my teeth cleaned - the cleaning was great - very thorough x-rays and exam, cleaning with water at the perfect temperature, and very friendly. One thing to be cautious of is prior approval from your insurance. I was not contacted before the appointment to be alerted that my insurance hadn't been confirmed, and they were still confirming the coverage when I started my appointment. The cash price for an initial visit is $413, so that bill upon exit was startling to say the least. However, they have been receptive to working with me because of that blindsiding, including use of their independent coverage system that has a monthly subscription model. So the moral of the story is: great dental care, but make sure the bill is confirmed *before* you start your visit, even if you have provided your insurance information! (Review updated because the clinic was willing to work with me to fix the billing issue).

I absolutely love The Smile Space! Dr. Maria Vallejos-Castillo is a true gem. She is incredibly caring and genuinely listens to my concerns and needs. Visiting the dentist usually makes me anxious, but everyone at The Smile Space, from the front desk staff to the assistants and dental practitioners, has been welcoming and supportive. They do everything they can to ease my nerves. I also appreciate the advanced technology they use and how they review my dental progress with me. Overall, my experience with The Smile Space has been very positive!

I used to dread the dentist, but Smile Space changed that. Everyone there is so welcoming and kind. Thuy at the front desk went above and beyond in helping me navigate insurance and patiently answered all of my questions. Dr. Daniel Lee made all the difference. He genuinely cares about his patients and takes the time to explain procedures and treatment options thoroughly. During treatments, he’d pause to check in and was really understanding about my dental anxiety. If you’ve had negative dental experiences in the past, I highly recommend giving them a try. Bonus: they have a cute pup to keep you company while you wait.
