I’ve been a patient here for one year, but my orthodontic journey started back in March 2020 (yes… right before COVID shut everything down 🙃). I was left with full braces on my teeth and no orthodontist for a long time. Fast forward almost two years later, I finally resumed treatment; but my bite was open, my teeth were shifting, I was in pain, & after almost 5 years in braces, I still didn’t love my smile. I was frustrated, discouraged, & honestly worried I’d never get the results I wanted. Finding Dr. Sarah changed everything. From the moment I called, I knew this place was different. Tish was incredibly kind, patient, & she was very compassionate. She actually listened to my story and made me feel supported immediately. That level of care continued through my consultation and every visit after. The entire team is exceptional. Polished, attentive, warm, and genuinely invested in your outcome. You are treated like family, like a sister 💖 The energy in this office is calm, welcoming, and elevated. You walk in and instantly feel taken care of. Dr. Sarah is confident, meticulous, and deeply knowledgeable. She looked at my case and assured me she could get my smile exactly where I wanted it, & she has delivered. She’s always been very encouraging. My smile is incredibly important to me, and trusting someone with that takes skill, precision, and heart. She has all three. And then there is the vibe!! Babe, this office feels more like a boutique than a medical space! I genuinely look forward to my appointments, yes .. even tightening days! I have been a patient of Dr. Sarah’s for the last 6 months. I am almost 100% done with my treatment and I am extremely happy with my results. Both my upper and lower front teeth are now 100% straight. Dr. Sarah always explained everything she was doing, every step of the way, including video’s from the teeth digital scans of how they were in the past, how they are now, and how they will be in the future. I opted for Invisalign, and I think that was a much better option for me than braces. You can get many weeks of Invisalign trays all at once (like 6-12 trays in one visit, using one new tray per week) and keep gradually moving your teeth straighter, without having to come in every 1-3 weeks to have braces adjusted. I suspect braces may be more appropriate for patients who may not be motivated to wear the Invisalign trays as much as needed. I believe the recommendation was to try to wear the trays for about 20 hours per day. Some days I only managed 16-18 hours, some days maybe 22 hours – but I still had great results. Dr. Sarah and her whole staff were always super-friendly and very helpful at explaining everything. They never kept me out in the waiting room more than 2-3 minutes. They have automated text message reminders of your appointments, if you opt-in for them. Not a lot, not annoying, just what I would consider the correct optimum amount, one a few weeks before, one a few days before, and one the day of the appointment. Dr. Sarah’s prices were very competitive. I actually went to 4 orthodontists (2 recommended by my primary dentist) in the Virginia Beach oceanfront and Hilltop area, including some of the “biggest” - by size or reputation. Dr. Sarah had the best price of all that I visited. Not by a lot, but by enough to make a difference. Plus, Dr. Sarah had 100% 5-Star Google reviews (and when I last looked – that was 120 reviews! - I think that is an amazing feat.) Finally, her office was closer to my home than any of the other orthodontists. So, in summary: best reviews, best location, best price, best staff, and best service. This was an easy decision. I can’t see why anyone would go anywhere else. But wait, there’s more! Dr. Sarah has moved from being a Gold-Level Invisaligh supplier to being Platinum-level in just the last 6 months. For those who still want more information, from what I learned, Dr. Sarah worked at one of the bigger orthodontic firms in the area for about 9 years, before striking out on her own about 5 years ago. Several of that firm’s very experienced staff also came with Dr. Sarah. Hence Dr. Sarah has at least 14 years of experience, and many of her staff have similar experience. Dr Sarah’s website picture shows all 7 gorgeous women on her staff, although she recently did hire her first male employee. I told him I was going to refer to him as “a thorn amongst all the beautiful roses” in my review. Although for all the female patients out there, I guess he is a fairly good-looking guy. If you are still not sold on Dr. Sarah, keep in mind she is a sole proprietor and the only orthodontist in her office. Hence when you go to her office, you know you are getting her treatment. One of the other bigger offices I checked-out at the start of my investigation had more than 10 offices and at least 10 orthodontists (from what I could discern) and they wanted to set me up with a “newbie” orthodontist right out of dental school. Another office wanted to use “knock-off trays” they referred to as “Clark”, instead of Invisalign. In both of these cases, their final price was still higher than Dr. Sarah’s price. I think every other office I visited had at least 3 orthodontists, some more. The Google and Invisalign ratings are based on the whole practice, not just one orthodontist. So when you go to one of the larger practices, you never know what orthodontist they will assign to you. When you go to Dr. Sarah, you are assured of the same fantastic orthodontist for your entire treatment. This was one of the easiest decisions I have ever made.

Dr. Sarah and her staff provide not only the best orthodontic care, but also an exceptional experience for every patient and caregiver. From the warm smiles that greet you at the door to the beautifully decorated office, every detail makes you feel special. The beverage station and complimentary Dippin’ Dots are thoughtful touches that make each visit enjoyable. You truly couldn’t ask for a better orthodontic experience!
