Michael Richards Orthodontics - Salt Lake City

I had a button pop off and was going to be across the country from my normal orthodontists for 6 weeks. Michael Richards orthodontics was so helpful in offering to glue the button back on for me! They saved me from 6 weeks of not being able to wear my elastics! Aside from how helpful they were with this, their office is very nicely decorated and everything clean and new. All the staff were wonderful as well! Haley was so kind and also very quickly was able to put the button back on for me Id highly recommend this place if you’re in need of an orthodontist

I cannot say enough good things about everything regarding my treatment at Dr. Richards' office! My case was complex, requiring jaw surgery (that I'd known I needed since I was a teenager) and some veneer work. Given the professional nature of my career, having Invisalign (or a similar product) was a requirement - Dr. Richards did an amazing job at developing a plan, recommending and coordinating with my dentist and jaw surgeon, and ensuring my results were perfect. On top of all of this, I relocated for work near the end of my treatment; once again, he and his team did a great job of coordinating with me to fit me into the tight windows during which I was able to travel back to Salt Lake City to finish treatment. Amazing experience in every regard - and I always felt like I wasn't pressured or trying to be upsold. I paid a price that I felt was totally fair, especially given the complexity of my case! The last thing I wanted to share was that, as I was recovering from jaw surgery in the hospital (which was a process entirely owned by the jaw surgeon), Dr. Richards personally stopped by the first night (after my friends / visitors left for the day) and gave me a gift card to Jamba Juice and a card signed his staff! He totally didn't have to do that! Wanted to share that story as I think it reflects how awesome of a practitioner and person Dr. Richards is!!! Thank you so much Dr Richards and staff!!!

Another lovely visit at MRO so I wanted to write a review. What stands out to me is the doctor and staff’s exceptional care and patience with each child in their care. My son has anxiety and sensory processing issues which means he needs to really understand what’s going to happen in his mouth and sometimes take extended breaks while work is being done. The staff is so kind throughout this - taking the extra time to explain, chatting with him while he calms before resuming work. Never once have I felt that they were exasperated or trying to rush during over a year of care. I started watching and listening in at other appointments too - the calm, thoughtful engaging way that Dr Richards has around talking through options - not in a shaming way but in a realistic, here is what’s needed, what can you do way? The practice was also lovely in working with insurance and financing options. I can’t say enough wonderful things about the care received.

I decided to get braces when I was in my early 60s. I interviewed three Orthodontists. I chose Dr. Richards. I've been very grateful ever since. I just returned to Dr. Richards because my permanent retainer broke. It was delightful to go back! What great people with amazing knowledge and ability. I'd give them 100 stars if I could.

They did a great job fixing my teeth. Not hard to make an appointment when you need to come in. They have coloring pages in the office if you have a velcro girlfriend (or a kid) like me that comes everywhere with you and needs to be occupied. 10/10
