I’ve debated leaving this review for a long time, but after receiving a second round of treatment elsewhere, I want to share my experience. I received many appliances from Dr. Kuperstein, but most importantly braces and nightly headgear. I had them for about 3 years and the result was extremely unsatisfactory. I had severe overjet after treatment, around 6mm, and I wore my retainer every night without fail. My parents didn’t think it looked right, but they lacked dental knowledge so we thought it was the best outcome given my anatomy. Ten years later, I became skeptical that this was the best my smile could look. I went to a new orthodontist who stated that my maxillary incisors were grossly flared for no reason and was able to pull them back to a normal 3mm with less than a year of invisalign. I’d like to give Dr. Kuperstein the benefit of the doubt since this was 10 years ago that she was inexperienced, but unfortunately that doesn’t make up for the fact that I had to pay for a second round of braces or that I was bullied and told to get braces - when I already did from Dr. Kuperstein. Nothing can be done about the past, but I wanted to share my experience and recommend getting multiple opinions for more serious cases of malocclusion since orthodontic treatment is a long and expensive process. Update: I’m disappointed by your response. Publicly confirming or denying whether someone has records with your office is not appropriate in a public forum and came across as unprofessional.
OK, this place is great! All the staff are full of good energy. My daughter needed a second treatment after getting a previous full cycle treatment at another practice. Her previous treatment didn’t put her teeth where they need to be, namely, due to her, losing her retainers to our dog Who finds orthodontics to be delicious. I’m thinking of naming a dog food flavor “fresh retainer”. As you can guess I consider our previous retainers or orthodontics; the most expensive dog food I’ve ever bought. OK, enough for that - The doctor and staff are very good at what they do, Super knowledgeable, Very reasonable and highly professional With a number of solutions available to serve whatever you’re corrective needs are on your teeth. They got it going on!
They are busy and book out over a month in advance. We only did the consultation and the only issue was that their website says they can do a payment plan and "sensitive to differing financial needs"... But... It didn't say you have to put 50% down to start treatment. Wish they would put that on their website or tell you from the start so you don't waste time setting up and getting a consultation. Dr is nice enough though if you have ~$3k to put down. Or more if you have more than one kid needing treatment. Was pretty annoying to have wasted my time.
I was so disappointed with the experience, which just dragged on for years. The techs were fine, sometimes even great. The office staff largely just answer phones so if you were checking in, they ignore you and point to the computer kiosks that they expect you to check in on, disregarding the possibility that you might have a need or question. The sense that I got was that the company wants to get as many people in and out as quickly as possible. The absolutely worst part was that when they took my kiddos braces off, despite having warned them of her front tooth being composite, they filed her actual composite (so essentially her FRONT tooth) down so that she had an inward dip in her front tooth. Thousands of dollars invested, hours and hours of time invested, and the days she’s waited for years is wrecked by a cosmetic and structural issue that they caused. When I asked them to please address this, they explained that her dentist could fix it if they felt it was necessary?! Structurally the tooth has held but you can see a dip inward on the entire face of her front tooth and if I want it fixed for cosmetic reasons I’m going to be on the hook to pay for it. The orthodontist did say to let them know if the dentist wants to fix it, however I am frankly entirely done with this company and would rather pay for it and not ever have to deal with them again. Besides they didn’t explicitly say they would pay me back or anything clarifying and I’m certainly not reaching back out to just deal with staff who aren’t friendly, time, etc. to find out that they weren’t planning on paying for the damage to her tooth. All this to say, I would shop around because the process is long, time consuming, expensive and if the place you choose isn’t great then you’re pretty stuck with them.
As per usual, staff very friendly & efficient. Dr Kuperstein fun, fast, great quality care. Two of my children and myself have gotten orthodontics here. I definitely recommend them to anyone.
