HLH made our visit for my son's braces consultation a great experience. They clearly explained each step of the process, pausing along the way to answer any questions I had. I really appreciated that they also made a point to ask my son if he had any questions, which made him feel included and comfortable. The entire team was very professional and attentive.

Alexis and Dr. Hansen went above and beyond explaining the process and necessary treatment for my kids, while making sure the kids themselves understood. I was impressed with the staff and service, and the office was so nice it had the kids excited to go back. For the first visit, it was a very good experience.

HLH is so friendly and informative. This is our first experience with braces and they are making the process very easy for my daughter. The point system is also awesome. Glad we found HLH.

I chose HLH Orthodontics hoping to achieve a confident, well-aligned smile, but unfortunately my experience resulted in the opposite. As a Registered Dental Hygienist, I have a foundational understanding of orthodontics. When I first met Dr. Hansen, she seemed attentive and aligned with my goals. She initially recommended IPR or veneers for my upper laterals. After I agreed to proceed with IPR, I was later told it was no longer necessary. As treatment progressed, I felt increasingly discouraged from asking questions and ultimately chose to trust the process. When my braces were removed, I was left with an open bite and a visibly canted (slanted) smile. Upon reaching out to discuss these concerns, I was told it would take four weeks for a return call. After calling again, I was able to meet Dr. Hansen in person. During that visit, she acknowledged the open bite and admitted that bracket placement on teeth #10 and #11 was incorrect. However, she denied any cant or slant, despite my concerns. Her proposed solution was a limited “patch” correction for only those two teeth, rather than addressing the full outcome. Given the extent of the issue and the investment of approximately $4,000, I did not feel confident proceeding. I then sought opinions from two independent orthodontic specialists. Both confirmed that my smile is indeed canted and advised that correction would require comprehensive orthodontic treatment again—resulting in significant additional cost. I contacted HLH Orthodontics to request a partial refund. After a three-week delay, I was informed by the office manager, Dianne, that no refund would be issued. This was despite my keeping detailed records of all communication. This experience has been incredibly disappointing. I initially sought minor improvements and instead was left with a result that I feel is worse than before treatment. I would strongly encourage others—especially those seeking precise cosmetic results—to carefully consider their options before choosing this practice. *the first two photos are before and the last three are after* A response to your reply: Thank you for your response. For this reason, I sought independent orthodontic opinions and ultimately chose to pursue corrective treatment elsewhere. When I requested a partial refund, I was informed that I would not receive one. Additionally, my name was incorrectly recorded as “Samantha” rather than “Savannah.” This inaccuracy further contributed to my concerns regarding the level of attention to detail in my care.
