Syracuse Dentist - Smiles By Design

The only reason I’m leaving this review is because of the spam texts and emails I receive from this office on a regular basis. “Write a review and enter to win…” This much advertising alone is a red flag. This office is EXTREMELY overpriced and you WILL spend hundreds of dollars out of pocket up front. They tried to sell me thousands of dollars of work I didn’t need (I realized this after going to see another dentist within the next two weeks because I was so weirded out by this one.) Literally, I was put into a room and pressured to sign a financial document and pay a deposit up front for an appt I couldn’t get in for several weeks for. I felt like I was at a car dealership and never felt comfortable enough to sign or pay a deposit to this place. I couldn’t get out of there fast enough. In addition, the hygienist was incompetent and unable to adequately take X-rays or clean my teeth. Spent two hours in there between waiting for my appt (a cleaning!), waiting to visit with the dentist, waiting for my sales meeting, and finally getting out of there. Odd to see so many five star reviews. I’ve been going to dentists for decades and never had a bad experience like this one.

Smiles By Design was such a great experience! The staff made me feel right at home. The office has everything you need in one spot, and it has such an inviting atmosphere. I didn't feel rushed or pressured at all. My Dental Hygienist Kalista, was truly amazing! I couldn't have asked for a more thorough cleaning. She made sure that I was comfortable the entire time, and did such a great job that I could feel the difference after I left! I would highly recommend a visit to this office!

My smile is back thanks to Smiles By Design!! There are no words to truly describe Dr. Lee and her Hygienists. God put me in Dr. Lee's care after Dr. Stets went on maternity leave. Dr. Lee and I hit it off right away. She was so patient with me and my many questions and points of changing her clinical plans for my ideas and best smile. During certain points, I became scared, nervous and wanted to go my own direction a few times. Dr. Lee listened and responded with why my ideas were not bad, but they wouldn't work long term...etc. Dr. Lee explained crystal clear why our original plan WILL WORK and she was correct. She was a magician. She was meticulous. She was methodical. She was timely, she was calming. She was caring. Most of all Dr. Lee is the reason I have my new "smile by design". I've waited for this moment for over 16yrs and three other Dentists who screwed me out of money and didn't truly care like Dr. Lee and her staff did. I used to find ways to smile without people seeing my missing teeth. I now smile so big and brag about my new Dental Office, Smiles By Design. A special thank you to my girls Erica and Jax as well as all the girls at the front desk and in the office as well. Don't do another Google search. I'll save you time by 100% backing Smiles By Design. They have a 4.9/5.0 stars for a reason. Forever and always thankful and grateful.

I truly can’t thank Dr. Lee and her amazing team enough. For over 10 years, I couldn’t smile. My confidence was gone, I was living in pain, and it affected my relationships and everyday life. Walking into a dental office after that long was intimidating, but from my very first visit, I was treated with nothing but kindness, patience, and respect. Dr. Lee worked incredibly hard to save most of my teeth, and with the partials I now have, I can finally smile again. Not once did anyone at this place judge me. They listened, explained everything clearly, and made me feel comfortable and supported throughout the entire process. This office didn’t just fix my teeth, they helped me get my confidence and quality of life back. The care here goes far beyond dentistry; it’s genuine compassion. If you’ve been avoiding the dentist because of fear, embarrassment, or past experiences, I can honestly say Smiles by Design is the place to go. You will be treated with dignity and care every step of the way. I’m forever grateful to Dr. Lee and the entire team.

I have been coming to Smiles by Design for the past four years and have been very pleased with the results from Dr. Wenham and periodic care from LuAnn. They make feel very comfortable and at ease while in the chair. With their level of expertise, you can almost look forward to the visits!
