We had a great experience with dr. Lena. She was incredibly gentle, patient, and took the time to explain everything clearly. Even procedures that seemed more invasive , like inserting the expander, were done as gently and comfortably as possible. She has such a warm and friendly demeanor, and my daughter (12yo) felt very comfortable and really liked her. Overall, we couldn’t be happier with our experience and would highly recommend her.

I can’t recommend Dr Lena enough! We were referred by our wonderful myofunctional therapist, Tammy Chaimov, because of my daughter’s airway issues, snoring, difficulty with eating, and waking up tired. After having MARPE treatment, the difference has been incredible she’s breathing so much better, sleeping better, and waking up with more energy. She even gets excited that when she has a cold, she can still breathe comfortably through her nose! The other amazing thing that happened was her GRADES were improving! Beyond the amazing results, Dr Lena is incredibly kind, personable, and truly cares about her patients. We are so grateful for everything she has done for my daughter and would highly recommend her to any family looking into airway-focused dental care!

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Lena’s for about a year, and the work she has done on my teeth and jaw has been truly life-changing. I’ve had jaw issues since college (I’m 36 now), and was told by multiple dentists that double jaw surgery was my only option. After extensive research, I consulted with Dr. Lena about palatal expansion. She walked me through multiple options (including double jaw surgery), but her expertise and confidence in an alternative approach gave me the reassurance to move forward and avoid major jaw surgery. I had a MARPE device placed in April, along with a minor procedure to begin separating the palatal suture due to my age. I was nervous, but Dr. Lena made the process feel easy and virtually painless. She guided me closely throughout the expansion process and adjusted protocols based on my progress. Dr. Lena also has a truly holistic approach to care. She coordinated evaluations with an ENT and myofunctional therapist, and works with an exceptional network of specialists. I also needed work recently from a periodontist, which she referred me to. It’s clear she only works with top-tier providers and looks at the full picture, not just teeth. I’m still finishing treatment (currently in Invisalign), but the results so far have been incredible. I can breathe through my nose better than I ever have, my sleep has dramatically improved, and I recently ran my first half marathon—something I could never do before because of my breathing limitations. I relocated to Texas recently, but continue to travel back to New York for follow-ups and plan to stay with Dr. Lena for all future dental care. She is the best dentist I’ve ever had, and I honestly wouldn’t trust anyone else.

Dr. Lena and her team are truly wonderful! The practice is absolutely stunning, and the team is so passionate, attentive, and welcoming. Dr. Lena is an exceptional doctor who genuinely focuses on whole health and airway—providing thoughtful care for both kids and adults. Dr. Lena is friendly, professional, and very educated in her specialty. I came into her office in 2020 with two blocked premolars with the desire to keep ALL of my teeth. After several consultations that only discussed tooth removal, Dr.Lena delighted me with the news that I could keep my teeth and the root cause of my dental issues is a narrow upper palette. The solution being a palette expander, some headgear, a round of braces, and topped off with Invisalign. Although I was nervous Dr.Lena’s knowledge instilled so much trust and confidence in me. I am So glad I trusted her vision, I could not have asked for better results. My smile is wider, prettier, my bite is more comfortable, my tongue could now fit properly in the roof of my mouth. Additionally, the palette expansion led to me having clearer airways (I haven’t had a stuffy nose in YEARS), one of the first things I noticed during the process was how much more oxygen I was getting through my nose. Lastly my favorite and most unexpected result was the symmetry it brought to my face, the changes were so dramatic I needed to change my FaceID scan twice during the process because my phone would no longer open to my new face.
