Modern Family Dentistry

I recently visited this office after work for a dental appointment, and I wanted to share both the highlights and an area that could use improvement. First, I cannot say enough wonderful things about my dental hygienist, Taylor. She is absolutely amazing—warm, personable, and genuinely kind. Even while wearing a face mask, you can tell she’s smiling. She has such a positive attitude and makes you feel comfortable throughout the entire appointment. Taylor is a perfect example of professionalism and exceptional patient care. FIVE STARS. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️She is one of the reasons I look forward to returning to this practice. Unfortunately, my experience at the front desk was the complete opposite. When I checked out and scheduled my next appointment, the receptionist, Kenny, came across as withdrawn, disengaged, and indifferent. There was no eye contact, no smile, no acknowledgment when I thanked her, and no “You’re welcome,” “We’ll see you next time,” or even “Have a great evening.” It left me feeling like I was an inconvenience rather than a valued patient. I actually experienced something similar during my first visit a couple of months ago, but I gave the benefit of the doubt and assumed she might have been having a difficult day. After experiencing the same interaction again, it seems to be a consistent pattern rather than an isolated incident. As someone who has spent years in a management role overseeing client engagement and serving thousands of clients throughout my career, I understand firsthand that every interaction matters. Whether you’re a clinician or a front desk professional, a smile, eye contact, and a few sincere words can completely shape a patient’s experience. Those small gestures communicate that people are valued, respected, and appreciated—especially in a dental office where many patients may already feel anxious. What was especially off-putting was that the dentist was standing at the reception desk and appeared to observe the entire interaction. It gave me the impression that this level of customer service may have become normalized within the practice. While I recognize that I don’t know what conversations take place behind the scenes, from a patient’s perspective it was disappointing to witness such a disengaged interaction without any effort to elevate the experience. Overall, this is a beautiful practice with what appears to be a wonderful team. There’s a great photo of the entire staff displayed at the reception desk, and everyone looks happy, engaged, and proud to work there. The office has an excellent atmosphere, and it’s clear that patient care is a priority. My hope is simply that the front desk experience will one day reflect the same warmth, professionalism, and genuine care consistently demonstrated by Taylor and the rest of the clinical team. Every patient deserves to leave feeling just as valued as they did during their treatment.

I had a really positive experience at this dental office. From start to finish, the whole team was kind, professional, and reassuring, which made a stressful procedure feel much easier. A special thank you to Dr. Ari, who did my crown. He was calm, attentive, and clearly very skilled. He explained everything clearly and made sure I felt comfortable throughout the process. I also appreciated how careful he was in making adjustments so everything felt right. I’m very happy with the care I received and would definitely recommend this office to anyone looking for a thoughtful and professional dental team.

I am so fortunate to have found this practice. Dr. Marin and Dr. Crystal-Ornelas are amazing dentists and wonderful people. Everyone you come in contact with in this practice is great. I want to focus on one incredible thing that they do - same day crowns. What a world of difference it makes not to walk around with a temporary for two weeks and to have a perfect fit that does not require multiple bite adjustment with that paper. Outstanding!

Very convenient location and they take my insurance without too much of a copay for special service. Pros: Modern facility and approach Experienced Providers Lasting and consistent results for my young child and myself The two head providers are great with my daughter and reversed her cavity. Areas for improvement: Its owned by one couple and I don’t always recognize the same front desk staff and they seem To need training (maybe some attrition) and need to work on maintaining support hygienists and admins. Overall I recommend with some caveats

I had an emergency today and the whole team was amazing. Everyone was so kind and attentive. They took X-rays, photos, and explained everything very clearly. Multiple people came in to check on me, and they even helped translate things for me since my English isn’t perfect, which I really appreciated. My orthodontist is always so kind, professional, and makes me feel comfortable. I highly recommend this place!
