My MARPE experience with Dr. Huang was a let down. A screw was left protruding from my palate during his placement, he didn't do anything to correct it and it was poking against my tongue for 6 months. The power chains he put on while i was still activating the MARPE pushed my front teeth backwards permanently (into an uncomfortable locked bite.) Communication was poor, i was met with deflection when asking serious questions about my teeth being pushed back. He kept saying he needed to look at the scans before he could comment and i never received a straight answer to this day. My emails were ignored, aligner trays took months to arrive prolonging treatment, and staff always seemed oblivious to my treatment plan. I would avoid gold coast ortho and dr huang. The suresmile aligners to fix my bite did not align my arches at all. If you care about your teeth, arches, bite correction, and hard earned money- go elsewhere.

We saw Dr. Huang for my son. He was incredibly knowledgeable and ahead of the curve in terms of diagnostics and particularly airway development. His team was great, my son had a very good experience, and we achieved the results we wanted. I would highly recommend Dr. Huang to anyone.

I came to Dr. Huang's clinic after I had braces treatment done by a different orthodontist who left me with a huge overbite, bigger on the left side than on the right side, misaligned bite with my upper and lower teeth no longer matching and I was unable to close my mouth properly because my jaw was shifting to one side due to that misalignment, my mouth and my face looked crooked and I had developed bad TMJ. I wanted Dr. Huang to correct the treatment because I was in a 24/7 discomfort and I was devastated with the results. I began the treatment and at one point I wanted Dr. Huang to tell me what part of the previous treatment had changed my face so significantly and if he could reverse that change. When he looked at the before and after photos he started claiming that my face hadn't changed at all, he doesn't see any difference, and he doesn't know what am I talking about. Yeah... probably this is why when his treatment coordinator Sandra saw the photos, the first thing she asked me was if I have lost any weight and when I denied losing weight she became defensive and started telling me that she doesn't want to side with Dr. Huang but she really doesn't see any change in my face too... yeah right! Dr. Huang proceeded to tell me that my previous ortho did a pretty good work but at the same time he was charging me $7,516 to correct his work while claiming that he is not correcting it but he is doing something else. I don't know what else Dr. Huang was doing because the only reason to become his patient was because I was devastated with the results of the first treatment and I wanted them corrected. I became very unease about working with Dr. Huang. You can't gaslight me about my own face and try to convince me that I can't see a difference in my own face on two photos made 10 months apart. And you can't tell me what a good work did my previous doctor while you are charging me thousands to correct his work while claiming that you are not correcting it. When I went to my regular dentist I showed her the photos. She was shocked by the facial changes I experienced and she was even more shocked that Dr. Huang was denying the facial change. She advised that I consult with at least a few other orthodontists and eventually bring my treatment somewhere else. After a few consults I decided just to end the treatment and to see if my teeth and face will relapse to their original positions. I requested an itemized bill to see if I underpaid or overpaid because I spent only 2 months into the care of Dr. Huang. They spent days of refusing to give me one. Then they sent me a brief email saying that what I paid covers the photos taken at what was supposed to be free consultation, scans, installation of their braces, and even referral for oral surgeon and correspondence. I didn't know that replying emails is a paid service so maybe you should keep that in mind if you decide to hire Dr. Huang. When I started my treatment Dr. Huang wanted to remove the braces of my previous ortho and to install his own because he said that he prefers to work with his own braces. Back then they said that this costs $275 but they will waive this charge. When I told them that I am ending the treatment they decided to charge me for the removal of the old braces and the removal of their own braces and they doubled the price for the removal to $540. At this point my feeling that Dr. Huang is very dishonest was confirmed and I just went to a different clinic where they took off my braces for $300 and they even took scans and photos of my face and teeth included in that price. When I informed the clinic that the braces have been removed they decided to give me an itemized bill with some kind of codes and their cost. I asked what the codes mean and they told me to google them in order to find out. With that being said I do not recommend Dr. Huang. In my personal opinion after this experience, he is very unethical and dishonest. I really don't care how skilled and knowledgeable a doctor is if he doesn't have integrity his skills and knowledge mean zero to me.

Superb orthodontist and equally great staff. I especially appreciated Dr Huang's attention to detail and is staff's gentleness. I wore Invisalign for 18 months (as a 60 year old female), and it was worth it.

I had a consultation with Dr. Iwei Huang regarding a jaw issue. The experience was excellent from start to finish. Dr. Huang was extremely kind, attentive, and professional. He carefully evaluated my situation, explained everything in a clear and honest way, and reassured me that my case is not critical and does not require treatment or surgery at this time. I really appreciated that he did not try to push any unnecessary procedures and was very straightforward about when intervention is actually needed. It’s rare to meet a doctor who is both highly knowledgeable and genuinely ethical. I felt listened to, respected, and confident in his opinion. Highly recommend Dr. Huang to anyone looking for an honest and professional orthodontic consultation.
