Kauai Dental Care

I have been with this practice for many years, and while I miss Dr. Ing, I continue to have the best experience here from the admin to the hygienists, to the doctors. I most recently had a crown replaced and Dr. Devin Beck even made it fun. I love an enthusiastic dentist! My new crown is perfect. The hygienists are also exceptional.

A few weeks ago my husband chipped a tooth and was attended to by Dr. Peck. He came home praising Dr. Peck's demeanor, professionalism and skill, and was so pleased with the results. So, when I recently chipped a tooth, I asked for an appointment with Dr. Peck. My husband was correct in his assessment of Dr. Peck and I totally agree that he is one of the nicest dentist I have had and did a beautiful job filling in my tooth. His assistant was extremely kind and skilled too. They worked so well as a team. Thank you, Dr. Peck.

Dr. Ann and her assistant Chelsea are the two most caring professionals I've ever dealt with. Needed to have TWO crowns at one visit and experience NO PAIN at all (warning, be careful when you eat arare, haha). The office gal, I didn't get her name, but she was friendly and efficient. After this visit, I highly recommend Kauai Dental Care.

I have been a patient at Kauai Dental Care for many years and have generally had positive experiences, especially under Dr. Ing before his retirement. At my most recent visit, I was informed that two cavities needed to be filled. In prior checkups, these areas had been monitored without requiring treatment, so this change came as a bit of a surprise. While I understand that treatment needs can evolve, I trusted the recommendation and agreed to proceed after being quoted for the fillings. However, during the procedure, Dr. Ann filled an additional cavity, which was filled without prior discussion or consent regarding cost. I was then charged for this extra filling at the end of the appointment. This was concerning, as patients should be informed and give approval before any additional procedures are performed, especially when they affect the final cost. Additionally, a couple of weeks after the appointment, one of the fillings still feels rough and catches on floss, which has been frustrating because this means I need to get it fix. I do hope I’m not going to be charged to fix it. That said, I want to note that my experiences with the rest of the hygiene team—especially Dede—have always been excellent. Dede does my 6 month cleanings. She’s the best! I am hopeful this was an isolated experience with Dr. Ann and plan to return for my next checkup for a last chance. If not I will be searching for a new dentist.

I saw Dr Peck for the first time since Dr Ing retired ( I was w him 25 yrs). I was so pleased by his gentle and very informative manner… and frankly very relieved!! I have my new dentist!!!! And Dee Dee has been my Hygenist forever and she’s awesome! Plus it’s the nicest dental office on Kaua’i. Thank you
