Bright Now! Dental & Orthodontics - Pinellas Park, FL

I came here because they advertise an exam, X-rays, and cleaning for $99. After spending about an hour and a half in the office, they took a full set of X-rays and then told me I had multiple cavities, inflammation, and needed extensive treatment. The treatment plan they presented was nearly $7,000. What disappointed me was that they refused to perform the advertised cleaning unless I first agreed to their recommended treatments. When I asked about the $99 cleaning promotion, I was told that I was not eligible and that I needed a much more expensive “deep cleaning” and other procedures. As a patient, this felt very misleading. I came in expecting the advertised service and left without any cleaning at all, after spending a significant amount of time there. The experience felt more like a sales presentation for expensive dental work than a routine dental visit. I cannot comment on the quality of their dental treatment, but my experience with the advertised promotion was frustrating and disappointing. I left feeling that the $99 offer was mainly being used to bring patients in and upsell costly procedures.

This is a wonderful dentist office. Clean, honest, and professional. The head dentist Dr. Coca is fantastic and the hygienist Andy is also great! Cathy Mae is a dear at the front desk and has been part of the team over 20 years at this location. That speak a lot! Thank you for helping me keep my teeth so clean. Looking forward to the next cleaning.:))

Cathy is an amazing front person. So friendly and able to schedule quickly. Abby did a great job as an assistant and I appreciate her concern while she was treating me. Dr. Coca is very professional and gentle ( I have extreme TMJ). She was quick also which I appreciate.

The worst service and dentist within this organization. This nightmare started over two weeks ago when had appointment scheduled and called to see if I could be seen sooner, was accommodating and got me in two days ahead. Then to only be told by Dr. Coca that she couldn’t perform procedure but she would Call in an antibiotic and ibuprofen 800mg in the mean time. Referred me to ortho for the following week. Called me back to get me in the next day an hour away. Drive there to only be told that he didn’t have time, not the case the dentist Dr Maulki explained when I saw him the following week he didn’t have any help to assist them and he wasn’t able. After leaving the holiday location I called back to Dr Cocas office one asking about my prescription that was to be filled the day before and wasn’t, then she stated she could have extracted the tooth but that’s not what she was saying the day before. She is a time waster and doesn’t know what she is doing. Jan 20th had routine examine scheduled and as I’m waiting in the lobby the receptionist came out and said you have dentures right or here about them. I said no, well that’s what’s in your chart. I ask who charted that no explanation. Then DR COCA, finally came in after the X-rays and belittle me in the chair and talked down to me and was rude as could be. She ask me how things had been going and I expressed my frustration as a patient, since I have only been hearing the same excuse over and over we have a new system. Also expressed how she stated she was going to call in a prescription and that had to call Back multiple times because she failed to do so. She told me well you could get that over the counter, antibiotics can’t be given over the counter. She continue to belittle me and talk to me disrespectful, I made the right decision by getting out that chair and leaving that facility as all they know how to do is make excuses. The only kudos I would give is to the Office manager who did everything she could to try and make the experience good. She would be the only good person at the facility. BEWARE OF DR. COCA unless you want to be talked to like a child.

Dr. Coca’s “Bright now” office is now under new staff. Which is great compared to the last staff. Dr. Coca was terrible and Cathy at be front desk looked like she climbed out from under a dumpster. Cathy was so incompetent I’m glad they are gone.
