Love this office , Sam the hygienist cleaned my son's teeth and she was absolutely awesome! Very thorough and good with kids! Dr. Stephanie was awesome as well , also very thorough and seems to really care for her patients. The only downside I think is I have to go to Norwalk for the next visit which is very far away from me other than that I highly recommend this office !
We’ve been coming to Kids First Dentistry for years, and it truly used to be an amazing experience. The dentists and hygienists are still wonderful, which makes this even more disappointing, but unfortunately, it’s time for us to switch. The biggest issue has become scheduling and communication. Appointments are extremely hard to get, and the confirmation system is overwhelming and confusing. Recently, I received 7 texts within 5 minutes asking me to confirm multiple appointment times, with no indication of which child the appointment was for. Shortly after, I got a message saying, “your appointment is canceled, conversation has ended do not reply to this message.” There was no phone call, no explanation, and no clarity on which child’s appointment had been canceled. I assumed all three of my children’s appointments were canceled. When I called, I was placed on hold for over 20 minutes just to get clarification. It’s also become very difficult to reach anyone by phone at all. There used to be multiple staff members at the front desk when you walked in, now there is often only one, and the overall level of support has noticeably declined. When I finally got through, I found out it was only one child, but again, the message never specified who. This was incredibly inconvenient. The appointment canceled was for my child who needed fillings the most and had already been waiting 3 months. Now I have to take another day off work, and when I asked to reschedule, I was told they are booking out until May. Canceling a necessary procedure and making a child wait months with no effort to accommodate is frustrating and unacceptable. On top of that, the entire process has become overly automated. Between constant texts, repetitive online forms, checking in on a tablet, and still having to sign paperwork in person, there’s little to no human interaction anymore, and clearly, a lot of room for miscommunication. To make matters worse, if you don’t confirm one of the many texts they send, they will cancel your appointment. I’ve even shown up to an appointment before and was told it had been canceled, with out being notified because I didn’t confirm, despite the fact that I had confirmed, just not one of the multiple repeated messages they sent. I work full-time, and the constant flood of texts is overwhelming and easy to miss. It’s frustrating and honestly feels excessive and unnecessary. The office itself has also gone downhill. When they first opened, it was clean, bright, and welcoming. Now it feels run down. It looks like it hasn’t been painted in years, the walls are dirty, and overall it just doesn’t feel well maintained. They got rid of the play area years ago but left the space looking like it was mid-remodel, and it’s never been properly finished. It just looks neglected and look uninviting now. If it weren’t for the scheduling issues and excessive automation, we would absolutely stay because the clinical staff is great. But the overall experience has become stressful, inconvenient, and not aligned with “putting kids first.” Very disappointing.
I can’t say enough good things about this Kids First Dentistry. The staff is always friendly, welcoming, and very helpful. They take the time to explain everything and make sure my child feels comfortable and not scared. The dentist is gentle, patient, and really knows how to work with kids. It’s such a positive experience every time we go. I would definitely recommend this office to other parents! 💙
I’ve been going here since I was a kid. But as I’ve gotten older the quality of care has severely decreased. I’ve had broken fillings due to the shoddy handling of their dentists and when I try to book appointments to fix they do not allow me to as they claim they do not offer these services. I came in today for a dental emergency and was turned away despite having my appointment booked today. Instead I was referred to a place too far away from me to make it as someone who has no care and cannot get transportation there. Bring your business somewhere else.
1 star is too many. They cut my daughter's lip during normal cavity procedure so badly that she had to have a salivary gland removed and then stitches. We actually had to go to a different dentist because they don't have sutures. We asked around at both of our office and NO one had ever heard of anything like this...ever. The worst part is that the doctor didn't even apologize nor was there a followup call to check. This will be our last time there. Too bad because the support staff is great the doctors are just dangerous!
