Dr. Garlock, Dr. Smith, and the entire staff are absolutely amazing! Everyone is always so friendly, welcoming, and efficient. They truly make every visit a great experience, and you can tell they genuinely care about their patients. We couldn’t recommend them more!

Steer clear of this office if you’re looking for an unbiased second opinion. We saw Dr. Garlock and Juliana for a second opinion regarding our child’s orthodontic treatment, which has gone significantly beyond the original estimated treatment time and has included braces being removed and then put back on. Unfortunately, the experience left us extremely disappointed. Dr. Garlock was very hesitant to give us a straightforward second opinion. I ultimately had to ask him to simply be honest and blunt with us and tell us what he truly thought. Even then, he seemed reluctant. Once he realized which orthodontist had previously treated our daughter, he “counseled” us to go back to that doctor and give him another opportunity to fix the situation. This was incredibly frustrating because we had already had multiple sit-down conversations with the previous orthodontist in an effort to resolve the problems. We repeatedly explained that we felt our daughter’s teeth had gotten worse rather than better, to which Dr. Garlock agreed, yet we did not feel our concerns were being heard or that responsibility was being taken. As parents, it is our job to advocate for and protect our child, so being encouraged to return to the same provider—after explaining everything that had occurred—was extremely concerning. In no way did we go in & bash the previous Orthodontist; didn’t even mention the name. It was when I pulled out our child’s photos from the previous office that Dr. Garlock saw where we had been previously. It also left us questioning whether there was a professional relationship between the doctors that influenced how candidly we were given a second opinion. Regardless, we came to this office specifically looking for an independent and unbiased assessment, and that is not what we received. Our experience with Juliana was equally disappointing. Her attitude left a lot to be desired. It was not just something I noticed—everyone in our family picked up on it, including our pre-teen. Her communication came across as rude and condescending, which was especially disappointing given that we were there as parents trying to advocate for our child. I emailed Juliana the next day, requesting a copy of the treatment plan because our insurance company had requested it due to remaining orthodontic benefits for our daughter, as Juliana specifically told us the night before in office that they could send insurance the info & if approved, we could apply the remaining Ortho $$$ to our daughters account @ their office. That was a LIE!! Rather than simply providing the requested documentation, Juliana called me and told me that, after speaking with their insurance coordinator, they could not provide a treatment plan/what was discussed at our appt. w/ Dr. Garlock until we signed up for treatment. & then she slips in that they don’t accept ANY insurance! We were completely upfront when we scheduled the appointment about why we were coming in—we were seeking a second opinion. If the office does not want to provide treatment-plan information or become involved in another orthodontist’s case without the patient becoming a client, that is their choice. But that should have been communicated before we attended a second-opinion consultation. Unfortunately, we left feeling that this office was more interested in protecting professional relationships than providing the candid, independent second opinion we specifically went to obtain. Parents looking for a truly independent second opinion should be aware - you won’t get it here!

Outstanding orthodontic facility. Open air environment is relaxing and put my daughter at ease. The technicians have great bedside manner and very friendly. Would highly recommend!

Garlock is so cool. Very oriented to tweens/teens with their office, rewards program, and overall vibe. Dr Garlock is great, personable and communicative. Everyone we’ve come across in the office is knowledgeable and helpful. Makes going to the ortho fun for my daughter instead of having to dread it. So happy with them! Oh and also my daughter’s teeth look great already and we’re barely halfway done!

I’ve takin two laughters to Garlock and he really cares about their smile. Even more than they do haha. He has a great staff almost always some new and some long time staffers. The reason for the 4 star is he is on the higher end price wise. I could have bought a car or a year of college with what I’ve spent on braces for two kids. Haha
