McCullough Dental

Dr Karas said i urgently needed a root canal done on a tooth that i had never had a previous issue with before. I was super hestitant because i had no issues with that tooth but he kept pushing it and persuading me to get the root canal, peer pressuring me essentially. So i went through with it and throughout the whole process i kept feeling pain and i repeatedly was asking him to numb it. At some point he got angry and said “Were gonna have to put you to sleep if you dont stop” To which i had to just deal with it. I was distraught a healthcare provider could even that way towards a minor at the time. After the procedure was done fast forward a couple months in i started getting abscesses in my gum on that tooth. To which i repeatedly followed up with the doctor and he said not to worry that it was just root movement causing the abscesses . So i brushed it off but once i started feeling pain again I went back and he just gave me anti biotics to which the abscess kept coming back regardless of the meds. Around two years later of him completely brushing off my medical concerns i go back again to get it checked, and to my surprise he says that my root canal is super infected and i need to have it re-done at UCLA. To which, UCLA is very hard to reach out to as they never pick up the phone because they are so busy so i really have no one to turn to , to fix my root canal that Dr Karas messed up and kept brushing me off for. This all happened and he eventually left the dental clinic and is now here at this one. Just completely tossed my case to the side. This Dr should not be doing procedures on patients he doesnt have the correct licenses or experience on. This has completely ruined my self esteem and causes me to constantly worry about that tooth because its so hard to find a provider willing to re-treat a root canal they didnt work on. Some friends of mine had similar experiences with Dr Karas I advise doing research before going to this dentist

Best dentist office I’ve been to. I make the drive all the way from Long Beach because of how great they treat you! Dr Karas is amazing and so friendly! Cindy the office manager and the staff is just as great! Highly recommend!!

Went in today for a exam and the staff was wonderful from the moment I walked in . I ended up getting a cleaning done with Annette and she is my new best friend. I love her. If you’re looking for a great Hygienist she is your gal. I don’t think it could’ve gotten any better today. I’m glad I finally found my forever dental place! Thank you !

It was our first time at McCullough Dental and we had an amazing experience! My son chipped his tooth and we seen different local doctors all with different opinions getting turned away by some claiming they couldn't do anything by others even though he was in so much pain doctors seem to not care or even help us to find a solution . Janie the office manager from McCullough Dental called me and said doctor would see him and would do his best to help us. They treated us with so much respect and were so personable from the appointment confirmation call with Janie to the office staff greeting us when we first walked in to Dr. McCullough being so attentive and detail ! I highly recommend them to everyone friends, family and co workers . They are so nice and professional! My family and I are now patients!

From the moment I walked in for my appointment I was greeted and made feel right at home by Cheyenne, Janie, and Lorraine as they always do with every visit. Amber is also amazing always keeping my family’s teeth clean and the special pep talk she gave to me during this visit I truly appreciated. I was a little nervous about the work I needed done, but Dr. McCullough and Maria were amazing during the procedure, keeping me informed the entire time. I was comfortable with the cozy blanket and pillow that was given to me. I would definitely recommend Dr. McCullough’s office they are all amazing, kind and patient.
