The orthodontic work was good, but our experience with the business side of the practice was disappointing. Between my two sons, our family spent over $10,000 here. At one point, I requested an adjustment to our payment arrangement due to changing circumstances, that request was denied. Later, we were told additional per-visit charges would be added because treatment had extended. This was frustrating because my son had been seen very little inside the treatment window, and it’s a significant financial investment. They also said we would be charged for broken brackets, we stopped going. I also found their pricing to be considerably higher than other orthodontic providers in the area. They do quality work, but prospective patients should be aware that this practice is expensive and, in our experience, not very flexible when life happens. Last, the increasing use of cancellation and scheduling fees in healthcare may discourage some families from making appointments at all. I realize it a business, I understand the why behind these policies. And still, I do not agree. When life happens providers should be flexible, especially providers with these rates.

Dr. Backus her assistant Madison and the entire team were wonderful! Dr. Backus was incredibly knowledgeable, thorough, and took the time to explain everything clearly, which made me feel confident and comfortable throughout my visit. Everyone in the office was friendly, welcoming, and professional, creating a great experience from start to finish. I truly appreciated the excellent care and attention to detail. I highly recommend Dr. Backus to anyone looking for an outstanding orthodontist!

Today I was getting a consultation about my teeth alignment as a first time potential patient. Needless to say, the appointment met and exceeded any expectations I had. Professional, friendly, informative, and almost NO wait time. As a healthcare provider, I know how important all those are to individuals and would recommend this practice without hesitation!

The BEST office staff and orthodontist. They're always very kind and accommodating whenever we have emergencies like broken brackets and such. Every time we visit, we have a great experience!
